Dokumen pengenalan sementara.

Entah dimana silapnya, sampai nak seratus hinggit la jugak aku kena banyar buat mykad baru.

Nightmares on Wax

Nightmares on Wax have been commanding high levels of respect from those in the know for over 15 years now. And whilst 2002s Mind Elevation album didn’t receive the critical acclaim that the now classic Smokers Delight and Carboot Soul albums enjoyed, his latest long player is already set to be a highlight of 2006. In A Space Outta Sound is a soulful, compelling record that many will struggle to put down. It wields genuine warmth and spirit like few downtempo albums manage. more

Minyak sayuran pengganti diesel & petrol?

Mengikut CETREE, minyak sayuran boleh digunakan sebagai minyak gantian kepada diesel.

Pemeliharaan alam sekitar bukan lagi perkara baru buat masyarakat kita.

Selanjutnya

Gambaran satelit bahtera Nabi Noh

Farouk El-Baz, Pengarah Boston University Center for Remote Sensing berkata

"One has to be familiar with Sun lighting effects on the shape of observed features," El-Baz said. "Very slight changes in slope modify shadow shapes that affect the interpretations. Up to this time, all the images I have seen can be interpreted as natural landforms. The feature that has been interpreted as the 'Ararat Anomaly' is to me a ledge of rock in partial shadow, with varied thickness of snow and ice cover.

Slobodan Milosevic, killer & vicious politician died March 11 2006

Slobodan Milosevic, killer & vicious politician died March 11 2006. There are many controversies surrounding his death, some people are relief with the news but others look at his passing as to easy for a man that have killed millions during his tenure as President of Serbia 1989 before becoming the Yugoslav President 1997. In the process, he left a legacy of more than 200,000 dead in Bosnia and 2 million people (half the population) homeless. He ethnically cleansed more than 800,000 Albanians from their homes in Kosovo. Here are news about his passing from various sources.
Milosevic’s parents, both teachers, were depressives who eventually committed suicide. Their son will be remembered as the man who bears the greatest individual responsibility for the collapse of the former Yugoslavia and the massacres that resulted. Most of these were not spontaneous popular combustions, but a carefully planned assault sponsored by Belgrade. From TimesOnline

The death of Slobodan Milosevic in prison while still on trial for "crimes against humanity" underlines the travesty of his trial. I am no defender of Milosevic, but if he were guilty of the heinous crimes for which he was accused, he could have been convicted within months, not the five years he has supposedly been on trial. The evidence was so tenuous in terms of proving he was responsible for the undoubted crimes that took place that no conviction would have been plausible. That's why it is more than convenient that he has died in prison. - John Green

Ruthless manipulator of Serbian nationalism who became the most dangerous man in Europe. The Guardian

Slobodan Milosevic may be remembered as a nationalist who brought disaster upon his nation and the Balkans. Or as a gambler, playing with people's lives, and using conflict to cement his hold on power. Few will mourn his passing, and many in the Balkans will breathe more easily. From BBC

Fate & life changing decision.

The Prophecy by Anjana Appachana is about teen pregnancy and the issue of sexual relationship outside of wedlock on India. The main character of the story is Amrita, a social, outgoing and stubborn girl that always get whatever she wants in life. The story was told from the viewpoint of Amrita's best friend, Beti, a girl that has a personality very contrasting compared to Amrita. The narrator was more demure and lives a more traditional lifestyle. She is not as outspoken as Amrita and can only dream about dating handsome men that actually dating them. Both of them are studying in an all-girl boarding school and live in a hotel with a struck superintendent and her assistant, Patram.

The story start off with the two girls decided to see an astrologer to read Amrita's fortune. She have a feeling that she might been pregnant, but before consulting a gynecologist, they decided to see the astrologer first. Hindus believe in astrology and mysticism and that is why Amrita decided to see the astrologer first before consulting a doctor. Amrita was shocked when the astrologer told her, " The star are not good. The shadow of Shanti is falling on you." The astrologer suggested to the girl that he performed the 'puja' for them. 'Puja' is a religious Hindu ritual that can bring back good luck to a person. This part show that, even though Amrita said that one cannot change their fate as it already been written down by God, she still hope her future can be changed with the 'puja' ceremony.

Later, both of the girls went to see a gynecologist. Here we can see how a doctor, a man of facts and highly educated handles teen pregnancy issues. Even though Amrita and Beti lied about their age but the doctor, Dr. Kumar, can sense the truth. This may not be the first case he had encountered. Dr. Kumar did not scolded Amrita for lying to him about her pregnancy. He might be a western-trained doctor that understands about the teenage pregnancy and its problems. Before the girl went back to their hostel, the doctor even consoled them about contraception and refuse money from them.

The decision why she didn't want to keep the baby was because she was afraid her mother and father would not understand and would not accept her as their daughter. It was a sin to have a relationship out of wedlock. Their neighbor even committed suicide when the mother was informed that her daughter was pregnant.

Beti didn't understand why Amrita doesn't want to marry Rakesh. He was a handsome and nice man. Beti herself would gladly marry Rakesh. Amrita didn't want to marry Rakesh maybe because she was still you. She preferred a more adventurous man rather than a nice man. There is also the question of what is objective for Amrita and Rakesh relationship. Was it based on love or just sex? Amrita was a very social girl she must love the attention of a handsome man like Rakesh and the sexual experience but she still not sure if Rakesh is the correct person for her.

In this story, the author has added in the characters of a very strict peon, superintended and headmaster. Anjana shows that, even with a very strict upbringing and law, sometime society cannot discipline teenagers or stop them from doing something wrong. Amrita was pregnant because of her lack of understanding of contraception or lack of guidance from the school and family. The school are more concern about their reputation rather that their welfare.

Amrita didn't have the money to perform the abortion but soon, she got measles and was bleeding. Here was when the secret was finally out, he was thrown out of the school. The baby die and she was married off to an educated man.

It is ironic, a girl that was very active and vocal about everything was soon confined to the house doing domestic chores and taking care of kids. The author have shown that how, someone action can change her fate to the better or the worst. Amrita, as earlier mention by the astrologist, gets her wish, to marry handsome and educated man, after all.

10 tahun gunting rambut sendiri

pick of the week Tahun ni genap 10 tahun tak gunting rambut di kedai. Mula-mula tu pasal bosan apek kedai gunting asik nak buat slop kat belakang walaupun aku kata jangan, rambut aku tak kene style tu. Aku bukan into sangat fesyen diskang-diskang ni walaupun masa tu 90 peratus buat gitu. Lagi 10 peratus masih mengekalkan style flat top ala abang-abang askar. Masa tu masih boleh sabar lagi, tapi ada satu kali tu apek gunting asik terpotong sideburn aku. Sikit takpa, tapi ni dah sampai takda, straight macam budak-budak keje hotel. Aku dah mula hangin. Terus boikot kedai gunting. Gunting rambut sendiri dekat rumah lagi bagus. Murah, senang. Kalau sopak-sopak pun, sendiri yang buat. Puas hati.

What is Web 2.0

I am sure all of us, have read about this term somewhere, one way or another. Computer and the internet have evolve to a competent tool that communicate with each other often with participation of more than one user per session. The day of personal computer is a stand alone machine is nearly coming to the end. So, what is Web 2.0 actually? According to wikipedia, it can be defined as,

Web 2.0 is a term often applied to a perceived ongoing transition of the World Wide Web from a collection of websites to a full-fledged computing platform serving web applications to end users. Ultimately Web 2.0 services are expected to replace desktop computing applications for many purposes.

The term Web 2.0 begin when during a brainstorming session between Tim O Reilly and MediaLive International. They were discussing about the fall of the dot.com company when the bubble finally burst in 2001. In the discussion, they that the surviving dot.com company have many things in common. So, what is it?

In his article, Tim O Riley explain in detail what he means as Web 2.0. He list out 7 points to clearly define it

1.The Web As Platform.
Tim said that, Web 2.0 doesn t have a hard boundary, but rather, a gravitational core.

2. Harnessing Collective Intelligence.
Unlike conventional webpages, Web 2.0 is more that one person making and developing his own website. It is more than that. To quote an example from Tim’s article, Yahoo!, the first great internet success story, was born as a catalog, or directory of links, an aggregation of the best work of thousands, then millions of web users. While Yahoo! has since moved into the business of creating many types of content, its role as a portal to the collective work of the net's users remains the core of its value.

The best way to illustrate this is blogging culture. Where conventional webpages are more of personal views without other people’s participation, blogging encourage user to leave comment and give idea to what they are writing about.

3. Data is the Next Intel Inside
Database management is a core competency of Web 2.0 companies, so much so that we have sometimes referred to these applications as "infoware" rather than merely software.

4. End of the Software Release Cycle
The characteristics of internet era software is that it is delivered as a service, not as a product. This is something that Sun have come up years ago, which they say, in the future, PC will be less dependent on rigid software but network or the internet.

5. Lightweight Programming Models
Majority of the current software we are using are heavy and complicated. But much as the web succeeded precisely because it overthrew much of hypertext theory, substituting a simple pragmatism for ideal design, RSS has become perhaps the single most widely deployed web service because of its simplicity, while the complex corporate web services stacks have yet to achieve wide deployment.

6. Software Above the Level of a Single Device
Web 2.0 no longer limited to the PC platform.

7. Rich User Experiences
A Web 2.0 word processor would support wiki-style collaborative editing, not just standalone documents. But it would also support the rich formatting we've come to expect in PC-based word processors. Writely is a good example of such an application, although it hasn't yet gained wide traction.

To sum it up O Riley list out these points which must have for web 2.0
- Services, not packaged software, with cost-effective scalability
- Control over unique, hard-to-recreate data sources that get richer as more people use them
- Trusting users as co-developers
- Harnessing collective intelligence
- Leveraging the long tail through customer self-service
- Software above the level of a single device
- Lightweight user interfaces, development models, AND business models
